From Ontario, Canada, the band SoundSwitch met in college in 1994, in the city's Music Industry Arts Program, training under legendary producer Jack Richardson (Bob Seger, Alice Cooper, The Guess Who, Poco, Badfinger).
Starting in 2010, multi-instrumalists Rob Stewart and Darren John T recorded recorded three albums and multiple singles with their most successful being 2012's Walk Into Now.
Their recording of Don Felder's Heavy Metal (Takin' A Ride) has charted numerous times on streaming platforms in multiple countries, including Spotify's Top 50 Viral Songs and the iTunes-Apple Music Top 10 charts.
They were also featured on the podcast Coverville, and Heavy Metal (Takin a Ride) was also used in 2 episodes of the popular YouTube show with Benny Surge.
In 2020, they were asked to be on the official soundtrack for the Heavy Metal Magazine pinball machine along with Blue Oyster Cult, Cheap Trick, Justice, Helloween, Sebastian Bach, Blind Guardian, Justice, DragonForce and others.
