As a native of the Appalachian mountains of Virginia, Spencer Roberts creates a mellow guitar driven folk sound deeply influenced by his rural upbringing. Roberts, being surrounded by a musical family, began playing the guitar at a young age, later to develop a fondness for songwriting. He wrote and produced his first EP Home Tape in 2017 and spent the next two years working on his debut full length release. Northbound River features more traditional instrumentation and revolves around the artists experiences through his early 20's.
