Spleen United was formed in Aarhus in 2003 and has released four albums. After Godspeed Into the Mainstream came Neanderthal in 2008, which went straight to number one on the Danish album chart, while School of Euphoria from 2012 received both a GAFFA Award and a Danish Music Award.
After a break, Spleen United returned in 2022 with the singles Eat the Rich and The Real Thing, followed by the album The Blur of Zebras in 2024. Alongside their releases, the band has established itself as a powerful live act, performing on major festival stages across the country and at a sold-out KB Hallen.
In 2019, they played their first concert in six years — at Roskilde Festival — where Soundvenue awarded them 6 out of 6, and GAFFA praised them with words such as: “One of Denmark’s absolutely most sublime live bands” and “This country belongs to Spleen United; we’re just guests.”
