Dancehall Artist, DJ, and songwriter, Staynless, burst onto the dancehall music scene in 2017, taking a sharp turn from chief engineer to music artist. Born in Kingston, Jamaica,in 1993, Staynless (ńe Joel Dunn) grew up in the volatile Stony Hill community. Knowing that his only way out was through music and education, he focused on his goals from an early age. His unwavering determination earned him numerous academic accolades, and he graduated magna cum laude with a First Class Honors Degree in Engineering from the University of West Indies
He released his first single, RIGHT NOW, to raving reviews, while still actively working in the engineering field. Although he juggled his engineering and musical careers for a while, he soon realized that music required his undivided attention. So, the Kingston DJ resigned from his engineering post in 2020, and rattled the unsuspecting dancehall music industry with a surprise release: Transition EP . Presented by Lundon Records, the project was a melodic demonstration of progressively wavy, lighthearted flows mixed with a more aggressive style that exuded confidence - making a mark on the dancehall music fraternity.
Taking the industry by storm.the EP included lead single Di Plug, along with VVS, Zip Bag, Mommy Wish, Di Reason,Di Language, and Gouchh, and a cameo, Illuminate. Following the release of Transition EP, Staynless began to attract a fast-growing fanbase, signaling the successes to come.
