A composer who got his musical start as songwriter and keyboard player in bands like Grace Kairos and Maxim Rad, before establishing himself as a film score specialist.

High stylistic diversity characterises his work, from pure piano to large orchestral scores - often offset with electronic elements - sometimes avant garde, but always accessible.

Since 1995 he has composed the scores for all of art house director Christian Petzold’s films, and has won two German TV awards and four further nominations for his work with Marvin Kren.

His music for the film 'Burning Days' of turkish director Emin Alper, which premiered in Cannes 2022, won several awards in Turkey.
