Stigmato Inc. formed in 2000 in Barcelona, Spain when vocalist Danna Leese (a Washington, D.C. native who had been appearing in an experimental theatre company) met DJ Tito Rosell and keyboardist Carles Sanchez (who were composing music for film and commercials). They originally intended to only record some house tracks, but it soon lead to a full-fledged project. Adding percussionist Yobanis Mesa and flutist Terence Butler, the group released Reality Check, its debut, on Utensil recordings in Summer 2003. ~ Kenyon Hopkin, Rovi
