Gerrit van der Meer is an aspiring and talented German musician, producer and composer. Gerrit started studying and playing music at the tender age of 8. Starting with the drums, and then finding his love of the keyboards, guitar, and singing. All of these gifts combining into to 1 to bring to you today. 1994 he finished the „School for Popularmusic“ at the Highschool for Music & Theatre“ in Hamburg by Prof. Dr. Udo Dahmen, the actual leader from the POPAKADEMIE Mannheim. He also joined the „School of Stage-Voice“ Hamburg in 1998. He finds his home now on Echopearls/DigDis/MusicMail Germany. Gerrit van der Meer is influenced by Ryuichi Sakamoto, Thomas Dolby, The Beatles, YMO, Kraftwerk, Frank Zappa, Miles Davis, David Sylvian, Allan Holdsworth, Wayne Shorter, Robben Ford, Le Cafe Abstrait...
