Sunday Rose lives in Antwerp, Belgium and is one of many descendants of the Congolese moving to Belgium in the past decades. She has the voice of an angel and a knack for writing songs that will sink their fangs into you at first glance. She’s got a way of manoeuvring in between pop, r&b and soul, adding a very personal twist to the brew she’s stirring up. Her music has a distinct contemporary feel, while also displaying echoes of an old soul.
She has been working with several producers and singers in the past, but only recently stepped into the spotlight on her own, and instantly hit it big. Her first solo single ‘Worst I Ever Had’ was picked up by infamous Studio Brussel song contest De Nieuwe Lichting and out of 1000 entries, she was picked as a winner. Belgium’s other band competition also selected Sunday Rose and she put together a 5-piece band to enter. Just before Corona cast a shadow over the party, she made it to the semi-finals of Humo’s Rock Rally.
