South East London-based rapper Swarmz blends his African and Jamaican heritage with British trends for a combination of Afro-bashment and Afro-swing.
Born in Greenwich in 1997, Swarmz was heavily inspired by the music his family was listening to, including a variety of Jamaican artists. By the time he was attending school, he and his friends had begun rapping. Although he originally went by the name Swarmzy-B, he shortened it to Swarmz when he started making music professionally.
