Sylvia Erla is a singer song-writer. She started playing piano at the age of 4 years old, and there it all began. Dance is a very big part of her life, and started dance school before she started the piano.
Music and dance is Sylvia’s life, a passion. Performing live is what keeps Sylvia motivated.
She is also a filmaker, and makes her debut with the critically acclaimed documentary titled “DYSLEXIA”. She is working with the Icelandic government and
the SA-Confederation of Icelandic Employers to support those with the disability and attached stigma - Sylvia’s aim is to make the work place a better and more understanding environment for dyslexic people. But also to tell dyslexic people that they are not alone, they have support and with this support they can realise their dreams, and can achieve anything!
Sylvia is also publishing her first book - a new childrens book about her dog Oreo. The book’s title is Oreo Goes To School. Inspired by Sylvia’s own personal journey about living and learning with Dyslexia, it’s about a dog that learns he is dyslexic and the many adventures he has with his friends.
