“T0RTVRE” was on a rise as a genre-defying musician known for pushing the barriers, going above and beyond with his immensely innovative musical expression when he would be prematurely stopped in his tracks on the tragic day of March 25th, 2021. Wrongly accused and attacked, he was then murdered by police in his hometown of Chicago at the untimely young age of 18.
Growing up in Chicago, he would find himself very different from the rest of the community. Unlike his peers, he had an interest for Metal music- which was very uncommon in the area. Upon later moving to Milwaukee, Wisconsin he would continue to embrace his passion for Metal and began practicing Metal vocals in hopes to pursue music. Later recording and uploading his music to SoundCloud, he caught the attention of rising Milwaukee artist "UNDEAD PAPI". Undead would take T0RTVRE under his wing and collaborate with him frequently, which began to open many doors for the young artist as he would reach a larger audience.
Combining Metal with Trap was something fairly new at the time- yet nowhere near unheard-of. T0RTVRE had something completely new to bring to the table. He would combine the brutal intensity of Death-Core with the booming bass of Trap beats, often leaving listeners in utter shock. As T0RTVRE would evolve as an artist, it wasn’t uncommon to hear him rap. Growing up in the midwest he was heavily influenced by Drill music, often times even combining elements of Drill into his work.
