Tareq

Tareq is a London-based Greek-Jordanian recording artist and one half of the dj/producer duo <a href="spotify:artist:3nRPgO6HGmq7u7sj3KyEgx" data-name="Boys&#39; Shorts">Boys&#39; Shorts</a>. Started as the frontman of the nu electro band <a href="spotify:artist:0G4IX07gvEaJnRWEK2Xc5v" data-name="TechSoir">TechSoir</a> and released their only album <a href="spotify:album:6rmxvvhNgRppyXctfEo2uM" data-name="Dark Room">Dark Room</a> (2007). Tareq followed a solo career and released his solo debut album &#34;<a href="spotify:album:3WegU2tb2T6nePKTXmSXzI" data-name="Cocoon">Cocoon</a>&#34; (2010) (Best Electronic Album of the Year, in his native Greece) and included the hit singles &#34;<a href="spotify:track:5jZARU1qZoMm794VcbaiMm" data-name="Cold">Cold</a>&#34;, &#34;<a href="spotify:album:01drk5cdULdPpXgtUU5SNB" data-name="Feel Me">Feel Me</a>&#34; and &#34;<a href="spotify:track:2dowQs9c0NegpxmpxuWmpS" data-name="Mosquito">Mosquito</a>&#34;, and collaborations w/ <a href="spotify:artist:71kSWeYFioviuty6e3aj5k" data-name="Marsheaux">Marsheaux</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1KeuV5ImmgYmGVZlBUjB36" data-name="Lacquer">Lacquer</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:0flc0uF9XBF3OTctmMRKSX" data-name="V-Sag">V-Sag</a>, to name a few. Mix Mag named &#34;<a href="spotify:track:04FuQ97S9pDsTIEix27fAc" data-name="Feel Me - Mighty Mouse Vocal Remix">Feel Me - Mighty Mouse Vocal Remix</a>” as their Tune of the Month for August 2011. Tareq&#39;s second album &#34;<a href="spotify:album:2KSPa3Jdvj135d0gRmXxpl" data-name="Fish">Fish</a>&#34; (2013) embodied a different approach to pop music from his first album and included successful collaborations with a number of Greek Indie Pop artists such as <a href="spotify:artist:3ujPrFnLXVgRRelOhW1E2t" data-name="Natassa Bofiliou">Natassa Bofiliou</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7wzaCdXV7ArIgs6Ar1jX3r" data-name="Ilia Darlin">Ilia Darlin</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6Q2VEtumYQdSbszI6AUCHJ" data-name="Marietta Fafouti">Marietta Fafouti</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2W4apaxME2OLw8qqhZK7aJ" data-name="Marina Satti">Marina Satti</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1QK6Nf6GwexYpCHj0JhK1r" data-name="Rsn">Rsn</a>. In his theme of evolving his sound over time, Tareq&#39;s EP &#34;<a href="spotify:album:7ijjVtFbXHRasvYktHY9Z0" data-name="Indigo - EP">Indigo - EP</a>&#34; (2017) was produced by the french artist Lacquer and it was described as a funky feast of intelligent smooth Electro-Pop. Following the singles &#34;You and Me&#34; and &#34;One&#34; , Tareq more mature than ever, wrote and produced &#34;Prints&#34;, a mid tempo electronica love serenade under the dystopian circumstances (July 2020).
