A duo born out of an extended break in 2000 by well-liked French rock act Louise Attaque, Tarmac (Arnaud Samuel and Gaëtan Roussel) existed long enough to release a full-length album (L'Atelier) in October of 2001, and contributed to a tribute record in honor of Georges Brassens. Their final show, at the Reservoir in Paris on December 23, 2003, was recorded for posterity, and released in 2004. The two members of Tarmac would eventually reconvene with the other two members of Louise Attaque, and that band would return to its former work schedule. ~ Chris True, Rovi
