TEENAGE DEATH STAR STARTED FROM THE ANXIETY OF TWO YOUNG GUYS
In the early 2000s, Sir Dandy and Alvin, inspired by parties and the release of AADC in 2002, formed the band. Their music was a mix of party vibes, rock 'n' roll, and little skill. They, along with Firman, Helvi, and IO, followed a nihilistic path and used the slogan "SKILL IS DEAD." Their wild, chaotic sound earned them the nickname "circus rock."
In 2008, they released their only album, Longway to Nowhere.
TDS emerged during a time when music was shifting from the 90s to the 2000s. They’ve contributed to movie soundtracks like Janji Joni and Catatan Akhir Sekolah, and appeared in compilations like JKT SKRG and New Generation Calling.
After 21 years, they haven’t reached mainstream success but continue to send a simple message: don’t wake the sleeping ancient tiger.
