Consistently blowing distortions and intense energy, Kelompok Penerbang Roket is one of the most explosive rock acts Indonesia has ever seen. Consisting of I Gusti Viki Vikranta (drums), Rey Marshall (guitar/vocal), and John Paul Patton (bass/vocal), the band of three was formed in 2011, drawing inspirations and fiery passion for music from Indonesia’s own legendary rock bands such as Panbers and AKA. The group is known for their debut album <a href="spotify:album:7FX8icEGHHcgLTInf37j65" data-name="Teriakan Bocah">Teriakan Bocah</a> in 2015. The album was reputed one of the best albums of 2015 by public and various media in Indonesia - including Rolling Stones Indonesia - mainly for its role in voicing protests, critics, and honest depictions of socio-political environment in Jakarta and Indonesia, blended with 70s rock-and-roll production.

The group then went on to record and release four more albums in a nine-year span, while collecting AMI (Indonesian Music Awards) nominations for Best Rock Group in 2019 and 2020 and winning Best Rock Album for their third studio album <a href="spotify:album:0Y842Ws6U8e1j8IqUCXxTy" data-name="Galaksi Palapa">Galaksi Palapa</a> in 2019.
