Teno Afrika was born & raised in Johannesburg on the 13th of September 1999. Teno Afrika who's real name is Lutendo Raduvha, started producing and exploring music at a very young age whilst growing up.
Teno Afrika’s 2020 debut Amapiano Selections drew an international wave of support sparked by the producer’s deftly minimal take on the emergent style. Amapiano combines the South African predilection for deep house alongside a melange of endemic influences like kwaito, jazz and gqom. The producer’s approach to instrumental amapiano turned heads from Los Angeles to Barcelona to Tokyo, where he recently played his first overseas festival and elicited widespread acclaim. Awesome Tapes From Africa will release his new album Where You Are on digital platforms 4 February, 2022.
