Music for the mind and body. You don’t hear that every day. Hailing from Amsterdam but with Chilean blood running through their veins, TenTemPiés make you think and dance at the same time. Crafting their own unique blend of rock, ska, reggae and rumba, they are known to turn every show into a true People’s Festival.
TenTemPiés has earned their live reputation mile for mile, touring around Europe, Chili and even China. Written by Maurino Alarcón and his band, their characteristic music is inspired by political issues and social injustice worldwide, adding a deeper layer to their festive performances; delivering a powerful message while evoking a smile at the same time.
In 2017 their selfproduced album ‘A Mi Propio Paso’ (translation: at my own pace) is born. This album is partly recorded in Argentina by none less than Mario Breuer, responsible for the sound on a long list of legendary records in South-American rock history such as ‘Vasos Vacios’ (Los Fabulosos Cadillacs). Having become part of the TenTemPiés family, Pieter Both is featured on the album as well as Belle Doron, singer of the popular Dutch duo CUT_, who sings on the album’s succesful first single ‘Yo Te Quiero’.
