Tessa Virta is a distinctive finnish pianist, composer and singer.
She is an experienced musical all-rounder and has acted as a musician, arranger, composer and orchestral conductor for bands of numerous leading artists. Following classical piano studies, she studied jazz at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and graduated as Master of Music in 2006 with piano as her main subject.
Tessa Virta has led her own orchestra since 1990 and released 3 albums: “Um Poeta” made up of Brazilian bossa nova, samba and Tessas own compositions, “Punainen sävellys” with Tessas own instrumental compositions with jazzcombo and string quartet and “Sun silmissäs näen rakkauden” –is featured by Jyväskylä Symphony Orchestra.
