The Rock Band Thank From Leeds.
“Mischievous agit-rock philosophers.” - Steve Lamacq, BBC Radio 6 Music
“Utilising phat grooves and electronic scrapings to bring noise rock kicking and screaming into the volatile 2020s.” - JR Moores, The Quietus
“A kind of mad melding of Pissed Jeans and Lady Gaga.” - Dominic Haley, Loud and Quiet
“This Leeds band pairs brawny arrangements with furious, bug-eyed vocals.” - Bandcamp Daily
The Rock Band Thank From Leeds’ concoction of anxious disco grooves, harsh noise freakouts and inscrutable sprechgesang bluster was borne out of their hometown’s notorious - and now sadly defunct - DIY collective CHUNK. Post-punk guitar fury is filtered through Nine Inch Nails’ industrial metal and Full of Hell’s blunt-force hardcore, plus a healthy dose of humour fed by the likes of donk pranksters Lobsta B and DJ Fingerblast.
