The Addictions

First formed in 2015 during high school, <a href="spotify:artist:7iFM3p5Bg49zuS1kyq8Efa" data-name="The Addictions">The Addictions</a> are now a four-piece band consisting of members: Angus Stanyer (Drums/Percussion), Ben Pucci (Vocals), George Dimitropoulos (Bass Guitar), Jamie Holmes (Piano/Keys) and Declan Hickey (Lead Guitar).


Fresh out of high school, the group recorded &#39;<a href="spotify:album:0xQ9ff7GM0mIHk2JyyOUrD" data-name="Establishing Shot">Establishing Shot</a>&#39;, an independent, mixed genre album that would showcase the band&#39;s versatility and unique style. As the album incorporated several different genres and styles of music, there was more than enough inspiration to behind it with artists ranging from <a href="spotify:artist:7guDJrEfX3qb6FEbdPA5qi" data-name="Stevie Wonder">Stevie Wonder</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3koiLjNrgRTNbOwViDipeA" data-name="Marvin Gaye">Marvin Gaye</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1ThoqLcyIYvZn7iWbj8fsj" data-name="Bill Withers">Bill Withers</a> all the way to <a href="spotify:artist:3jK9MiCrA42lLAdMGUZpwa" data-name="Anderson .Paak">Anderson .Paak</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:20wkVLutqVOYrc0kxFs7rA" data-name="Daniel Caesar">Daniel Caesar</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:0hEurMDQu99nJRq8pTxO14" data-name="John Mayer">John Mayer</a> with several other influences thrown in there ranging from <a href="spotify:artist:6BH2lormtpjy3X9DyrGHVj" data-name="Bob Marley">Bob Marley</a> to <a href="spotify:artist:5a2EaR3hamoenG9rDuVn8j" data-name="Prince">Prince</a> to <a href="spotify:artist:6zFYqv1mOsgBRQbae3JJ9e" data-name="Billy Joel">Billy Joel</a> to <a href="spotify:artist:77tT1kLj6mCWtFNqiOmP9H" data-name="Daryl Hall &amp; John Oates">Daryl Hall &amp; John Oates</a> etc.


Just one year after releasing &#39;<a href="spotify:album:0xQ9ff7GM0mIHk2JyyOUrD" data-name="Establishing Shot">Establishing Shot</a>&#39;, <a href="spotify:artist:7iFM3p5Bg49zuS1kyq8Efa" data-name="The Addictions">The Addictions</a> returned to the studio to put together their second album, &#39;<a href="spotify:album:6zDNSYmLLzZR1YKQc03BQQ" data-name="Systematic">Systematic</a>&#39;, a concept album with a heavier R&amp;B and Neo-Soul influence. The album was packed with narrative and references all layered on top of some of the band&#39;s best instrumental work of all time.


Since the release of &#39;<a href="spotify:album:6zDNSYmLLzZR1YKQc03BQQ" data-name="Systematic">Systematic</a>&#39;, <a href="spotify:artist:7iFM3p5Bg49zuS1kyq8Efa" data-name="The Addictions">The Addictions</a> have released 2 Singles, &#39;<a href="spotify:album:5tFptLvH1MfA0CS2ybWk32" data-name="You Killed Me">You Killed Me</a>&#39; and &#39;<a href="spotify:album:2PMYj1MpGW4PA9nqFaEgqe" data-name="Pedal Faster">Pedal Faster</a>&#39;, both telling tragic sides of the same tale. The singles feature Ben Pucci on both vocals and keys playing layered synths and piano.
