Tim and Laura Battersby are The Battersby Duo. They have been performing to kids since 1979. They have been awarded a Grammy Nomination and also received a Grammy Award as celebrity artists. They have performed at The White House on 6 occasions for The President and First Lady. In addition, they were awarded 5 ACE (American Cable Emmy) awards for their work on the TV show Kids Place. The Battersby Duo has appeared in concert at The Kennedy Center in DC, The Straz Center in Tampa FL, The Times Union Center in Jacksonville FL, The Savannah Music Fest, The Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston SC, The Marcus Center for the Performing Arts in Milwaukee WI and The Filene Center at Wolf Trap Farm Park in Vienna VA. Their degrees in Early Childhood Development introduced them early in their careers to Head Start and they spent decades crisscrossing the USA performing to Head Start children.
