Although the Cocktail Preachers are based out of Hammond, IN, the band -- who is otherwise known as Steve Panchisin (guitar), Jack Chant (bass), Kerry Orze (drums), and Jeffery Roche (saxophone) -- primarily plays throughout the nearby city of Chicago since their 1997 formation. Along with the hybrid roots of punk based in their fascination for classic surf and science fiction, the quartet would eventually capture this sound on their self-released 1999 debut full-length, Nothing Much Was Happening.
