Coming from various parts of the City of Angels, The Crudes are a barrio band consisting of Adam J Castro “Chooch” (vocals), Isaac Plummer (keyboard), Kris Haley (bass), Angel “James” Alvares (guitar), and Marques Allen (drums). Formed in 2014 The Crudes' music is a unique mix of R&B, rock, and soul, sounds that were the soundtracks of their childhood and teenage years.
Taking the name after “crude oil” a symbol of the gritty and soulful sounds they produce, The Crudes first got on the map by consistently playing backyard shows and self-releasing their early tracks, helping them gain recognition and a fanbase throughout the states. In 2017, they released their flagship record, "Graveled Guts," which marked a significant turning point in their career. Having shared the stage with acclaimed acts such as Chief Keef, Inner Wave, and Sadgirl, The Crudes have proven their ability to captivate audiences on a large scale with their eclectic sounds and new sonic territories.
Their willingness to explore new textures while still being meticulously dedicated to their craft has helped them stand out in a dense scene of musicians in Los Angeles and capture the attention of music lovers everywhere. Currently, The Crudes are working on a new album, pushing them beyond their creative boundaries once more.
