Hi! We’re the Gothard Sisters, a Celtic Folk band of three sisters from Seattle, WA in the USA. Thanks for listening to our music!
We originally fell in love with Celtic music after listening to the new Celtic folk and rock music of the 80s and 90s while driving through the mountains on family camping trips. What drew us to the genre over and over again was how it can somehow be both soothing, uplifting and energizing at the same time. You can be swept away to another time and place without going anywhere at all.
The assortment of acoustic instruments in our music include violin, acoustic guitar, mandolin, penny whistle, vocals, mandolin, bodhran, djembe, and even Irish dancing. After working on this music steadily for the last two years, we’re very pleased to be able to share it with you!
