The Great Divide formed in Oklahoma in 1992. Comprised of vocalist/lead guitarist <a href="spotify:artist:1HgcQeeVpnhP73jLQ8XI0d">Mike McClure</a>, bassist Kelley Green, rhythm guitarist Scotte Lester and drummer J.J. Lester, the group honed its chops opening for artists including <a href="spotify:artist:4K3DSWzghkGUcQOEZG9gpo">Chris LeDoux</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2BQVRw9md4UKcGUrDXABCD">Tracy Lawrence</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:5iB5AWIa7qreioi0AF3Bxa">the Bellamy Brothers</a> before issuing their independent label debut Goin' for Broke in 1994. In 1998, the Great Divide released their second LP, Break in the Storm and their third album, Revolutions, followed in 1999.
