The band revolves around the songwriting partnership of brothers Cinta Rama Bani Satria (vocals/guitar) and Adji Pamungkas (Bass), who are the two founders and only consistent members of the band since its formation.
The Jansen experimented in the comfort of a home, sculpting romantic sounds coated with dreamy reverb, the vocals carry a lingering sense of nostalgia that flow within the modern punk rock spectrum. They might be indie punk, but their sound is a mix of UK and US styles, from post-punk and power pop, to indie pop and garage sounds. The Jansen always brings approachable punk vibes, packed with their pop sense and catchy Indonesian vocals.
