This new jazz trio consists of 3 highly respected nordic musicians.
The Jazz Seekers works around in a meditative jazz univers, filled with high end jazz vocabulary and great moods. The listener is taken on a journey to a place, where the american jazz tradition is mingled with the sound of the nordic waste lands and a new alluring music emerge.
Danish guitarist and composer Niclas Knudsen is well-known in the Danish music scene. He has played with among others Adam Nussbaum, John Tchicai, David Liebman, Ray Anderson, Billy Preston and Tom Jones and has set his mark on among other bands the trio Ibrahim Electric and the quartet <a href="spotify:artist:3wETKJB1hUyRy9Z4j3gwgD" data-name="Kalaha">Kalaha</a>
Danish drummer Anders Mogensen and Finnish bass player Johnny Åman have won a Juno Award in 2018(Canadian Grammy) with <a href="spotify:playlist:3P8Dqvv56wiiymKQYd333t" data-name="The North – Various Artists">The North – Various Artists</a> and have played with both Jerry Bergonzi Quartet and Tim Hagans Quartet.
They play original tunes that are inspired by the great Jazz composers: Duke Ellington, Charles Mingus and Thelonious Monk, among many and tunes from the Duke Ellington songbook. The music is swinging, bluesy, energetic and at the same time evocative. It's music for the feets, the ears and the soul.
