Two brothers from Preston, two brothers from Oldham, and a Leach...
Founded by brothers Joe and Jack from Preston, The Juice became a five-piece when joined by another set of brothers, Ross and James, along with drummer Leachy, all from Oldham. Together, they have created a sound that blends the influence of North West British music legends like The Beatles, The Verve and The Stone Roses with New York giants The Strokes.
The band’s name has an interesting origin. Originally called Joe and The Juice, the brothers were unaware of the international coffee chain with the same name when they first started out. The group officially shortened it to The Juice and were proved right after an encounter with Serge from Kasabian at Y Not Festival who gave them the thumbs up.
The Juice’s focus on melody and pop songwriting, combined with a rough, spiced-up edge, has seen them play at festivals such as Isle of Wight, YNOT, Truck and All Points East. The band was also interviewed and performed live acoustically on Scott Mills and Chris Stark’s show on BBC5Live, further expanding their growing fan base.
The band has received praise from industry insiders and fans alike, including John Kennedy of Radio X, who described the band as “giving hope for the future.” The Juice is one to watch.
