The Little Birds

The Little Birds are Jos Collins and Jesse Stoddard.

Jos Collins is a songwriter based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Jesse Stoddard is a songwriter based in Buffalo, New York.

They are the voices of The Little Birds.

They first met in The Jazz Bar on Chambers Street in Edinburgh, when Jos was performing as The Little Birds and Jesse was performing as Astronaut Head.

Jos has been involved with various musical endeavours over the years, including Ashfin, The Valiums, Jos Madelvic, Drunk Mum, The Last September, The Deep Red Sky, and recently collaborating with Rick Webster as ‘Unkle Bob and The Little Birds’. Jos also records with Keith Duncan under the name ‘Hi-Vis Kids’.

Jesse Stoddard has been writing and playing music for over ten years, with long-time project Astronaut Head, and later joining up with The Deep Red Sky and The Little Birds in Scotland. A designer and digital artist, Jesse also creates the artwork and visuals for The Little Birds album art.

The Little Birds debut e.p. Desire Lines, was self-released (as Harvesting Stars Records) on July 9th 2018. Their first album proper will be released through Harvesting Stars on July 30th 2020. It is entitled ‘Splinters of Old Wooden Signposts’.
