The Megaphonic Thrift is a Norwegian rock band hailing from Bergen, comprising members Richard Myklebust, Linn Frøkedal, Fredrik Vogsborg, and Njål Clementsen. Formed in 2008, the band has made a significant impact on both the Norwegian and international music scenes with their eclectic, guitar-driven indie rock sound.

In 2015, the band released their third album, "Sun Stare Sound," produced by Jørgen Træen at Duper Studio. This album garnered critical acclaim and earned them a Spellemann Award (Norway's equivalent of the Grammy) in early 2016.
The Megaphonic Thrift ventured into new musical territories with their fourth album, "Få meg til verden i tide," released in 2016. This project marked a departure from their previous work, featuring Norwegian lyrics and a synth-heavy sound, a result of collaborations with Njål Paulsberg (<a href="spotify:artist:71EwtzyNcLnkNJBY67dfXE" data-name="Evigheten">Evigheten</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4af3Ok7qmjZwHNzuvXLdLE" data-name="Put Your Hands Up For Neo-Tokyo">Put Your Hands Up For Neo-Tokyo</a>) and Emil Nikolaisen (<a href="spotify:artist:2zBENk8LtANz3cNlE9suSb" data-name="Serena-Maneesh">Serena-Maneesh</a>).
