The Pine Box Boys began slaying crowds on July 4, 2003, burying them under shovelfuls of updated murder ballads and original tunes of mayhem. The original line up of The Pine Box Boys were Lester T. Raww, Possum Carvidi, Col. Timothy Leather, and Steven "Your Uncle" Dodds. Lester T. Raww, a dedicated fan of horror films, transformed the old murder ballads his mother used to sing to him into something that Greil Marcus described in INTERVIEW magazine as "indelible.' It should be added that he also wrote that their song "The Beauty In Her Face" takes the listener "as far into the mind of a killer as anyone needs to."

For their first decade, The Boys toured the US and Europe releasing ARKANSAS KILLING TIME, STAB!, CHILD OF CALAMITY, and TALES FROM THE EMANCIPATED HEAD. Following up on the momentum of EMANCIPATED HEAD, Raww began composing tunes of a more - how should we put it? - Tin Pan Alley quaint/Addam's Family grim-type vibe, releasing music as Lester T. Raww's GRAVESIDE QUARTET. The Pine Box Boys followed up this project with their magnum opus, THE FEAST OF THREE ARMS, the story of the lady with three arms.

For the last five years, the band has added "Gentleman" Jimmy Hadley on guitar, trumpet, and vocals, and Slade Anderson on drums. They will be releasing a new album with this line up the summer of 2024, a tribute to their favorite music and horror films (and a parable about "red-pilling") entitled KUNG FU WOLFMAN vs. THE BLOB.
