crap-ton of units when that was a thing, and contains the hit singles Lump and Peaches.

Chris Ballew and Dave Dederer went to high school together and after somehow graduating

at a house party and shouting out random “band names” between “jams.” When he shouted
“thank you we are The Presidents Of The United States Of America” he got a big laugh, and so
PUSA found a name that has earned them the undying hatred of those guys who change the
letters on marquees. Later that year Jason Finn (already widely considered the greatest
drummer in Seattle rock history) tricked them into adding drums, promising they “wouldn’t be
that loud”, and they quickly rocketed to hyper-local popularity! Because drums. Jason was
lying, BTW.
PUSA decided to break up in 1998, and did a Last Show concert at Seattle’s Paramount
Theatre. This show accidentally got recorded pretty well, and while no details can be revealed
at this time, if I were a betting person I’d look for a release late '26?
PUSA then decided to continue to tour the world for another 15-sh years.
PUSA remains the only band to emerge from the Seattle area. It’s an awesome responsibility
which they do not take lightly.
