Based out of Long Island, the Reunion Show formed in 2000 after lead singer Mark Thomas and drummer Skully left Step Lively. Adding former members of Waiting Process and <a href="spotify:artist:6dGXJBa4jakhd3hgABeDhc">Edna's Goldfish</a>, the group began rehearsing in the New York area. Taking the name from a conversation in La Crosse, WI, the Reunion Show immediately began touring in the tri-state area and eventually throughout the United States. In 2002, the Reunion Show -- also comprising guitarist Derrick Sherman and vocalist/bassist Brian Diaz -- released their debut EP, The Motion, through Law of Inertia; they signed to Victory Records in May of that year as well. The full-length Kill Your Television followed that fall. Consisting of crunchy punk riffs with melodic pop, the Reunion Show has been compared to <a href="spotify:artist:3Ayl7mCk0nScecqOzvNp6s">Jimmy Eat World</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2BGRfQgtzikz1pzAD0kaEn">Elvis Costello</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:6DCIj8jNaNpBz8e5oKFPtp">the Cars</a>. The group also released a video for Kill Your Television, which was directed by <a href="spotify:artist:2QBVCrvQ6KA21qgexvuzAY">Andy Dick</a>. Sherman and Diaz had left the band by the early fall of 2003 and were replaced by Adam Manning and Clarke Foley, both formerly of <a href="spotify:artist:7dRayFqIS6hIQlTahkWpDp">Count the Stars</a>. However, due to the member changes, the Reunion Show eventually dissolved and three-fourths of the remaining members reappeared as <a href="spotify:artist:3nUaOkK9vnMx4TlX1JAwq4">Action Action</a> in mid-2004. ~ Jason MacNeil, Rovi
