Italian gritty post-hardcore trio The Rituals got together in Verona in 2003 well studied up on American bands like Hot Water Music, Dillinger Four, and Jawbreaker. Nicolò (vocals, bass), Massimo (drums), and Riccardo (guitar, vocals) issued the seven-song demo "Learn to Get Disgusted" in March 2004. This led nicely into a split with fellow countrymen Radio Riot Right Now a year later through Rolling Anarky Records, and soon after its release, the guys hit the studio to record their debut full-length. Teaming up with Wynona Records, The Rituals released "The Past Twelve Months" in late 2006.
