The Second Hand Orchestra about themselves: "We are not musicians, we are just being played. Trying to set music to what we see before our eyes. Instrumental music by the people,for the people. Or maybe we are musicians? Playing and being played...We are also a backing band to phenomenal vocalists now and then. "
In January 2021 the amazing collaboration between the Scottish singer songwriter James Yorkston and the Swedish The Second Hand Orchestra will finally see the light of day as Domino Records is releasing "The wide, wide river". And there is rumours about an album later in 2021 where The Second Hand Orchestra plays their reimagined instrumental versions of Yorkston's songs as well.
