The Shoos

We are a rock band from Dublin, Ireland. We started the band kind of organically in 2007 when Tex was looking around for a guitarist to accompany him singing, he asked Barry who he knew through mutual friends, another mutual friend Steve wanted in and from there it took off and as we jammed and grandiose ideas started forming, Steve’s older brother Scott was talked in to joining and we began gigging and writing original material.
The name is like ‘Shoo’ the dog not wearable Shoes, it is derived from a Beatles interview where John Lennon said about being called The Beatles, “we could have been called anything, The Shoos or something”
We have released 3 studio albums.
We’ve been signed to Universal records and Interscope records previously.
Our highlights include loads of amazing gigs all over the world but ones that stick out are opening for ELO in Dublin’s 3 Arena and Birmingham Arena as well as touring with One Republic and Maroon 5 and Lifehouse.
We love making music and we love the music we make together and we just want people to hear it, with all our personal priorities changing over the time together and with music as it is today it’s so much more important than ever before that we love the art we make and love putting it out there. The journey is only beginning for us and we’re all excited by that! More music to come soon!!
