The Tandoori Knights

Following <a href="spotify:artist:5zExg5Z9MmcUh2B2K93bbs">Arish Ahmad Khan</a>'s various musical projects can get a bit bewildering, as can the various names he records under, including <a href="spotify:artist:5zExg5Z9MmcUh2B2K93bbs">Blacksnake</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:5zExg5Z9MmcUh2B2K93bbs">King Khan</a>. <a href="spotify:artist:5zExg5Z9MmcUh2B2K93bbs">Khan</a> isn’t one’s garden-variety anything -- born in Canada of Indian descent, he somehow ended up fronting a ragged garage soul outfit out of Germany that looks and sounds like it stepped out of a <a href="spotify:artist:3qeoYI3u0hMmvcmZGvZNcx">John Waters</a> movie. Whether recording and performing as <a href="spotify:artist:4n0gvapwYbRpzU5Ov68B6P">the King Khan & BBQ Show</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5zExg5Z9MmcUh2B2K93bbs">the Black Lips</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4VRBYAzCvjuiqKGdjDWdSj">the Almighty Defenders</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:36cEnU1vYfohStmnt8y3T2">King Khan & the Shrines</a>, or under some other moniker, <a href="spotify:artist:5zExg5Z9MmcUh2B2K93bbs">Khan</a> has produced a remarkably consistent brand of spicy, skewed rockabilly soul.
