Straight Psychobilly, fierce stomping, superb Rock’n’Roll and some influence of Ska and Surf; thats how The Trillionairs and especially their brand new LP Hidden Tunes from New Dimensions sounds like. The four-headed Band consisting of Bihle (Vocals and Rhythm-Guitar), Dr. Gonzo (Lead-Guitar and Backings), DerPsücho (Doublebass) and Trouble Kid (Drums and Backings) are all based in the so-called Ruhrpott, Germany. While there have been some changes in the cast, the band originated back in 2010. With their debut Album 10.16 and the EP Haunted the Band have now released their third Vinyl after three years in the making. Hidden Tunes from New Dimensions represents not only a whole new level of quality and sound, it also demonstrates the bands current peak in creativity and skills. This record offers a wide range of 80s Psychobilly influenced stomps, some Neo-Rockabilly swinging guitar-sounds and short excursions into the world of Ska and Surf. The Drums and the Doublebass make this record marching tight and leave you with your foot tapping to the songs. Always connected to B-Horrormovie themed lyrics and the necessary spark of irony, the new Album shows how to maintain the typical characteristics of Psychobilly, while taking it a few steps further by adding the influence of various genres and a modern studio-sound-quality.
