Based in Torquay and Exeter, the four-piece made up of Aaron the vocalist, Harvey the guitarist, Alfie the bassist and Tom on the drums, Since debuting in August 2022, indie rock band ‘The Upper Hand’ has been making waves in the Devon music scene. With intricate drumlines, booming bass, melodic guitar solos and emphatic vocals giving all the elements for the perfect musical storm.
The Upper Hand’s first full year together has been culminated with notable accolades along the way. In July 2023 they won the ‘East Devon Battle of the Bands’ competition signalling their intent to lead at the forefront of Devon’s music scene. This was followed by their recent triumph winning ‘Devon’s Best New Artist’ over hundreds of entries at the annual Devon Music Awards by MIDI TV in January 2024.
