The Vapour Trails are an Aberdeen based jangle pop band who verge on psychedelia.
The band consists of father/son songwriting partnership Kevin (rhythm guitar/vocals) and Scott Robertson (lead guitar/vocals), Nick Mackie who brings excellent main vocals, harmonies and rhythm guitar, Kenny Munro, who plays great, imaginative drum beats and Andy Crossan contributing groovy basslines.
Taking major inspiration from 60s acts like <a href="spotify:artist:3WrFJ7ztbogyGnTHbHJFl2" data-name="The Beatles">The Beatles</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1PCZpxHJz7WAMF8EEq8bfc" data-name="The Byrds">The Byrds</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2pdvghEHZJtgSXZ7cvNLou" data-name="Crosby, Stills & Nash">Crosby, Stills & Nash</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:3Q6OOkfssqoMSTtl11J5Uk" data-name="Love">Love</a>, they craft melodious, harmonious, chiming pop music. Not to be pigeonholed to the 60s, they also take inspiration from bands like <a href="spotify:artist:47Z8LEl3LnQkcpva0xSthT" data-name="The La's">The La's</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1lYT0A0LV5DUfxr6doRP3d" data-name="The Stone Roses">The Stone Roses</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3yY2gUcIsjMr8hjo51PoJ8" data-name="The Smiths">The Smiths</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1e9cOgMYTLJ0KFOjmTx13F" data-name="The Rain Parade">The Rain Parade</a>.
They have played many local gigs alongside fellow bands including <a href="spotify:artist:2Gdeo89YzxQw36YcZwjin8" data-name="The Dead Shadows">The Dead Shadows</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4xUHBWbSW412ugIdwMxrjd" data-name="Monza Express">Monza Express</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:4SbXPn6YgY54nFHgNmdund" data-name="Connor Clark And The Matador Kings">Connor Clark And The Matador Kings</a>, and have played the Celebrate Aberdeen festival.
