Founded in 2018 by award-winning musicians Esin Yardimli Alves Pereira and Ricardo Alves Pereira, The Wandering Bard blends the essence of early music with the timeless art of storytelling. Inspired by troubadours and bards, the ensemble shapes each performance through a historically informed lens, transforming ancient melodies into immersive journeys.
Their repertoire spans the 12th to 18th centuries, featuring both renowned and anonymous composers. Each arrangement is uniquely crafted by The Wandering Bard, faithful to its era while remaining vibrant for today’s audiences.
They have collaborated with artists such as Eduardo Paniagua, Fernando Ribeiro (Moonspell), and various specialist singers, percussionists, and choirs, focusing mainly on medieval and Renaissance music. Beyond appearances at world and early music festivals across Europe, their six albums have surpassed two million streams worldwide.
