I’m Nicostrauss, a multi-instrumentalist and Italian musician living in Austria, and my music is the result of a long journey of discovery. Since I began teaching myself, I’ve let each new musical influence — from blues to folk, from folk music to Gregorian and Celtic music — blend spontaneously in my compositions. For me, music is a way to explore emotions, tell stories, and create atmospheres that touch the soul. Each piece I write is born from the desire to transport the listener to another world, filled with sounds that express deep feelings. In addition to Nicostrauss, I also express myself under the names @hesychasmos and @Nicola Bortone, projects that allow me to explore new sounds and continue evolving as an artist.
