Parol grew up in Buffalo, New York to a Polish-dominated community - both her parents being Polish immigrants themselves. Parol’s father in particular had a love for an eclectic mix of music, ranging from European icons such as ABBA and Queen, to notable American artists including Willie Nelson, Michael Jackson, and Tina Turner. In fact, Tina Turner is Parol’s namesake, indeed solidifying her destiny as an accomplished musician in her own right. Working as a songwriter behind the scenes for years, Parol feels it’s time to unleash her own imagination and become a source of empowerment and explosive rebellion for people in their everyday lives.
“My greatest hope is that TINKA can make people feel badass about themselves,” Parol says. “I hope this music makes people strut down the street a little harder on their way into a meeting, or add a few minutes to their cardio workout, or blast while pregaming to go out with your friends, or be a dope backdrop while driving down a scenic highway. I just want people to feel fly and empowered when they jam out to it.“
