To Absent Friends

To Absent Friends borrow their name from the traditional toast "to friends in absence" or "to absent friends". A formal toast proposed at gatherings as a remembrance to the ones lost, or simply just to the friends and family who aren't present.

Debuting in 2017 with the single 'If Tomorrow Dies', To absent Friends quickly gained attention in the Danish media and was stated "a very promising act" by Danish newspapers B.T. and MetroXpress.
In spring 2020, the dream-rockers re-introduced themselves by releasing their debut-EP "Smoke".
Several tracks from EP, as well as the hard-hitting lead-up single, "Take It or Leave It", have since been aired on BBC Introducing Radio 1.

In March 2021, the band attended their first big interview live on air on BBC-Radio introducing.
Talking to presenter Emily Pilbeam, frontman Jonas Johansson explained that the band has been busy during the pandemic. On October 22, To Absent Friends released the new single "The Loop Inside the Loop", which highlighted the progress the band is currently in.
