TOMC is a beat and ambient producer whose works have been released on acclaimed labels such as Inner Ocean Records (Canada), Insert Records (Sweden), and Kankyō Records, Local Visions, and Kakubarhythm (Japan). His 2023 album True Life was praised as “a Nujabes for the 2020s” and was selected as one of the Best Albums of the Year by international music outlet Small Albums.
In recent years, he has joined the legendary Japanese experimental collective Taj Mahal Travellers (now STONE MUSIC), touring with them in India. At the same time, his wide-ranging activities—providing a monthly DJ mix for J-WAVE, engaging in dialogues with artists such as Tetsuya Komuro and tofubeats, and performing at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai—have drawn attention for transcending the boundaries between mainstream and underground.

文筆家の一面もあり、近著に『J-POPの音楽的冒険：レアグルーヴ感覚で楽しむ日本のメジャーポップス』(DU BOOKS) など。
