The Toronto Mendelssohn Choir is a Grammy nominated and JUNO award winning renowned Canadian symphonic choir, consisting of 160+ choristers, including a core of professionals called the TMSingers.
Founded in 1894, TMChoir is proud to celebrate its 130th anniversary as one of Canada’s oldest and largest choirs. Through its performances, outreach and educational programs, TMChoir aspires to make choral masterworks available, accessible, and inspirational to all listeners.
TMChoir performs works from five centuries - from large symphonic works performed with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and other orchestras to a cappella works. TMChoir also has a long history of commissioning Canadian composers and premiering their works. Performing both sacred and secular repertoire, TMChoir is committed to offering listeners a profound emotional experience of some of the most powerful music ever composed.
