Named after the diminutive and once ubiquitous Eastern European automobile, Trabants is a rotating line-up of musicians who find their muse in the dusty bins of 60's beat records.
Fronted by composer Eric Penna, they play an all-instrumental mix of surf, garage, psych and soundtrack music from around the world. Aside from numerous film and TV placements and having shared stages musical greats such as Dick Dale, Tav Falco's Panther Burns, Charlie Megira, Yonatan Gat, Guantanamo Baywatch and more, Trabants have also lent their instrumental skills to collaborations with vocalists like Seattle's Prom Queen, Samira Winter (from the band Winter) Troian Bellisario (from the TV show Pretty Little Liars) and more.
