Starting in 2020 as a solo black metal band, Transilvanian Frost is a death metal band from Sibiu, Romania. The initial lineup consisted of Filip Dosteteanu also known as Mephistophallus with the entire raw black metal compilation "Community Butchering", being written and recorded by him, and also with few appearences from other local musicians. In 2021 the band changes their genre to death metal and becomes a full band with the addition of Victor Bodea (drums), Andrei Farcas (lead guitar), Patrick "Kazy" Parvu (rhythm guitar/backing vocals) and Cristi Dosteteanu (bass guitar) and also Filip Dosteteanu changing his role to lead guitar and lead vocals. Transilvanian Frost promises to deliver new material to the romanian death metal scene with influences such as Morbid Angel, Death, Deicide, Suffocation, Pestilence, Carcass, Demilich and more.
So far, the romanian band only released one compilation album, "Community Butchering" and their recording of a show in August 2022.
