Treemer band is a get-together of old friends and nineties Finnish indie pop personas (The Pansies, Montevideo, The Lieblings, Mia Darling, Super etc.). Treemer is all about dreamy and noisy guitars, hypnotic rhythms and obscured vocals. And then some. Inspired by such artists as The Cure, Ride, Slowdive, David Bowie, R.E.M., P.J. Harvey, Sonic Youth, The Smiths, Blur – just to mention a few – Treemer is paying homage to music makers the band members, aka treemers, have been listening to all their lives.
