New Jersey rapper Tsu Surf first rose to prominence in the battle rap scene, demolishing his opponents with cutting bars and brilliantly clever wordplay. His skills are just as diamond sharp on record as they are in the live arena, delivering intensity and versatility on full-length projects like 2021's Until Further Notice.

Tsu Surf was born Rahjon Cox and grew up in New Jersey listening to Jay-Z and practicing his freestyling. He was releasing music of his own by the early 2010s, collaborating with artists like Joe Budden, Wale, and Kevin Durant on his earliest projects. He became a well-known battle rap competitor during this time as well. After spending a few years in jail, Surf returned in 2019 with new album Seven 25, which featured guest spots from Mozzy and others. From there, he went into a mode of heavy productivity, releasing new work like 2020's MSYKM, 2021's Until Further Notice, and 2022 mixtape Disparu at a steady clip. In October of 2022, Tsu Surf was arrested in Jersey City, New Jersey on charges related to alleged racketeering and gang-related crimes. ~ TiVo Staff, Rovi
